The purpose of the work is experimental research and the development of innovative technological solutions and recommendations regarding the involvement of raw materials from man-made deposits in metallurgical production in order to expand the raw material base of the mining and metallurgical complex of Ukraine. Research methods – theoretical and calculations of thermodynamic equilibrium of oxide systems; chemical composition research; x-ray methods; mathematical statistics. The mineralogical microstructure of ore manganese concentrates and finely dispersed concentrate was established. A rational scheme for the preliminary preparation of finely dispersed manganese ore beneficiation waste has been determined; a rational amount of manganese ore beneficiation waste in the initial charge was established - 50...70% due to the use of 5...7% of the peat hydroxide reagent. The conditions and method of creating appropriate thermal conditions were established and used during agglomeration, under which the cooling rate of the upper layer of the agglomerate decreases. The rational carbon content in the initial charge of 9-11% ensures the transition of manganese to the monoxide phase without the formation of a significant amount of manganese silicates. The experimental agglomerate was used for smelting ferrosilicomanganese.
