 The results of the implementation and use of the innovation, which was developed during the experimental work (introduction of the military-patriotic method in the education of students of grades 5-11 in the process of sports and games, physical culture and mass and physical culture and health activities), made it possible to ensure the unity of the content and process of the military-patriotic education and physical education of students in grades 5–11: coordination of goals, tasks and content of physical and military-patriotic education of students in grades 5-11; military-patriotic education of teenagers and high school students in the process of forming in them the ability to master various types of motor activity, performing physical exercises and in the process of moving and sports games; application of forms and methods of military-patriotic and physical education of students of grades 5-11 aimed at forming in teenagers and high school students a conscious attitude to independent physical education and sports in order to prepare themselves for military service and defense of Ukraine; the application of forms and methods of physical education of students of grades 5–11 aimed at forming in teenagers and high school students military-patriotic moral and volitional qualities of personality (responsibility, discipline, activity, independence, determination, courage); systematization and classification of organizational forms and methods of military-patriotic education with the aim of forming in them cognitive interests, patriotic qualities and convictions, the need and habit of self-education, developing inclinations and natural abilities that are necessary for military service and defense of Ukraine; the introduction of innovative methods in general secondary education institutions aimed at forming a holistic image in teenagers, a defender of Ukraine, based on the examples of the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people for self-determination and the creation of
