 The conceptual and methodological strategy of the interdisciplinary study of socio-communicative and information-communicative mechanisms of student life in the modern communicative space in the context of the digitalization of society was created. To understand modern students in social media, it is necessary to take into account the features of the digital generation to which they belong, the specifics of social media itself, the types of communities in social networks to which students belong, as well as behavioral and communicative characteristics of the social media services users. The digital communicative space involves both the inclusion of the individual in it and its creation. It is appropriate to form active listening, conscious reading and systemic and critical thinking in a person who communicates in a digital society.
