The prospects of using a two-component blended fuel with the participation of salty coal have been studied. Mineral analysis of ash residues of salty coal and its blends was performed. The composition and ways of formation of new refractory mineral compounds in the ash formed during the combustion of composite fuel from coal of different metamorphism and salinity have been established. The effect of mixing salty coal with ordinary coal on the effect of formation of exfoliation and erosive layers of metal during ashing of fuel raw materials was determined. However, even when burning a mixture of salty and conventional coal, Cl emissions will be high. In global practice, chlorine capture occurs together with SO2 capture in flue gas desulphurization (FGD) plants. The presence of chlorine affects the efficiency of the FGD process, so this feature must be taken into account when designing flue gas cleaning systems. The use of ammonium reagents (ammonia or urea solution) in semi-dry FGD systems will make it possible to obtain ammonium sulfate, which is a mineral fertilizer.
