 Methodological recommendations have been developed for assessing the environmental hazard of rock dumps of mining enterprises and their impact on the adjacent agro-industrial landscapes as a result of wind and water erosion of the dumps. The value of morphometric parameters of dumps, their determination by satellite data, as well as the impact on land, water, plant resources and atmospheric air are considered. The effectiveness of forest amelioration of rock dumps as a measure to radically increase environmental safety in agro-industrial landscapes is shown.
