Sokolovsky» popup.description2 The object of the research is antierosion complexes on the territories of the agricultural land use areas in the regions of the Northern Steppe in eastern Ukraine The purpose of the work is to determine the soil protection effectiveness of the existing anti-erosion complexes in the territories of agricultural land use in the conditions of the Steppe in Eastern Ukraine. Research methods – bibliographic, cartographic methods, field investigations method and geomorphological profiling. The theoretic results - mechanisms of the impact on the soil of antierosion complex elements over the long term have been studied. The theoretical bases of the soil protection effectiveness of antierosion complex elements have been defined, which consist in the complex influence of set of their main (protective shelterbelts, ramparts-terraces) and added characteristics (species, age, construction). As the main criterion for their evaluation, it is proposed to use the area of ​​the working site, which is protected from the appearance and development of erosion by a certain element of the antierosion complex. To evaluate the effect of the entire complex, it is proposed to use a gradation from "unsatisfactory" to "good" depending on the number and effectiveness of antierosion elements. Practical results - it is shown that in the first years after the antierosion complex exist, erosion processes stop, after which fine soil deposites begin to form as terraces on the upper edge of the forest shelterbelts and in front of the rampants. An Analytical note on the assessment of the soil protection efficiency of the existing antierosion complexes on the agriculture land use ares has been prepared. Novelty - patterns of changes in antierosion complexes (and their elements) properties under the influence of external factors in Ukrainian Steppe conditions.
