The subject of the study is the influence of fire safety requirements for electric vehicle charging systems on their fire protection condition. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the requirements for fire protection of electric vehicle charging systems during their design. Research methods: analytical, expert assessments, FDS modeling. Based on the results of analytical studies of the requirements of domestic and foreign regulatory documents, scientific and technical information, and other information sources regarding fire protection of electric vehicle charging systems, requirements have been established and standardized for: planning parking spaces with charging systems for electric vehicles located on the territory of gas stations, electric charging stations on parking lots, garages (parking lots); arrangement of fire barriers; ensuring safe evacuation of people; use of fire protection systems and primary means of extinguishing fire during a fire; structures on which charging stations for electric vehicles are installed; ensuring the safety of fire and rescue units. Based on the conducted FDS modeling of the potential thermal impact during a fire of an electric vehicle, the requirements for fire-fighting distances from the electric vehicle to adjacent objects have been established.
