The purpose of the work is to improve the national regulatory framework regarding the main approaches to collecting statistical data on fires. Research methods are analytical (analysis of legal acts, regulatory documents, international standards), statistical research (mass observations, groupings, generalizing indicators, quantitative analysis, smoothing of data series by the method of step averages). Results and their novelty - a project of a national standard has been developed regarding the general requirements for collecting statistical data on fires in Ukraine, which unifies (standardizes) approaches to the collection of statistical data on fires at the national level that have not been available until now, the adoption of which will create the prerequisites for properly ensuring fire record keeping and their consequences in order to increase the reliability, completeness and quality of fire data; Analytical materials on fires and their consequences in Ukraine for 2022 were prepared monthly. The results of the work will be used by units of the State Emergency Service and territorial bodies of the State Emergency Service during the organization and maintenance of statistical records of fires and their consequences. The scope of application is activities related to the statistical accounting of fires and their consequences in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Socio-economic efficiency of work - solving the problem of bringing the national regulatory framework on statistical observations of the state of fires in Ukraine to international requirements.
