The purpose of research is providing world-class tactical and technical characteristics of domestic military and civilian vehicles by analyzing the contact interaction of the elements of the studied structures, justification of their progressive technical solutions and technological means in the design and manufacture according to the criteria. Research methods are: the finite element method; methods of the theory of variational inequalities; the method of additional gaps. The results of research are: methods of the synthesis of geometric shape of contacting bodies according to strength criteria on the basis of improved mathematical models of contact interaction of complex shaped bodies; justification of properties of materials of contacting bodies on strength criteria; the regularities of the influence of the geometric shape of contacting bodies on the distribution of contact areas and contact pressure and on the characteristics of their stress-strain state; recommendations on the shape of contacting complex bodies and the properties of their materials on strength and load capacity criteria; proposals for methods of strengthening of structure elements of military and civilian vehicles. The results are recommended to be used in the development of constructions and manufacturing technologies of new and modernization of existing military and civilian equipment with increased tactical and technical characteristics.
