The purpose of the work is development of the scientific basis for finding new promising materials for electrochemical systems, namely nanocomposite/nanostructured mono/bimetallic electrocatalysts and silver-based superionic phases. Research methods: cyclic voltammetry; IR, UV, X-ray energy dispersive and fluorescence spectroscopy; scanning electron microscopy; X-ray diffractometry; thermogravimetric analysis. The obtained results: Methods of synthesis of nanocomposite and nanostructured systems based on metal-polymer, mineral-polymer and polymer-polymer composites have been developed, namely chemical decoration of thin films of polyaniline with Pd-Au nanoparticles; electrodeposition of bimetallic nanostructured Pd-Au deposits of different composition of chemical mineral-polyaniline composites, etc. The promising use of synthesized composites as electrocatalysts and Cr(VI) adsorbents is shown. The phase composition of the equilibrium T–x space of a number of complex silver-containing chalcogenide and chalcohalide systems was clarified, and the main thermodynamic properties of some low-temperature modifications of ternary and tetrarary silver compounds were calculated based on the EMF measurement method.
