Preparation work for the modernization of the LPE-30 linear accelerator was performed, including the development and design of the following systems and components: the LPE 30 accelerator control system, the thermal stabilization system, the accelerator magnetic elements control system, the device for regulating the high-voltage voltage of the KIU-12 klystron modulator , beam spectrum measurement system, measuring channel of integration of small currents for a physical experiment. 2. New results were obtained regarding the secondary electron emission, the exit of delta electrons from the aluminum target, low-energy spectra of the secondary electron emission during the passage of relativistic electrons through thin targets. 3. A stand for irradiating scintillating materials with bremsstrahlung photons using protective lead shields was developed, and a series of scintillating materials were irradiated (on the electron accelerator of the NSC Khfti LP-10). The influence of high doses of ionizing radiation on the scintillation and optical properties of scintillation modules based on polystyrene with increased radiation resistance and other scintillation materials was studied, taking into account the possible dependence on the radiation dose rate and evaluating the prospects of using these materials for hadronic calorimetry of the CMS detector.
