The level of supply of macro- and microelements to millet and buckwheat plants depending on fertilizer options at different stages of development was determined, and the relationship between the level of deficiency of individual elements and crop productivity was revealed. Under the conditions of 2022, the yield of buckwheat (3.64 t/ha) was the highest on the background of N15P25K30 + N15 in the branching phase, millet (5.97 t/ha) - under retail application of nitrogen fertilizers (45 kg/ha d.i. as the main fertilizer and 15 kg/ha as a top dressing in the stemming phase) on the background of P60K60 and foliar fertilization with microfertilizer, which is 34.9% and 39.7% more than the control without fertilizers, respectively. The same fertilizer variant also showed the highest grain quality indicators. Such advantages over the control were achieved due to better plant development, namely, their height in the ripening phase was 20-25% higher and the leaf surface area was almost twice as high as the control (39.8 thousand m2/ha vs. 20.8 thousand m2/ha). The best variants of millet and buckwheat cultivation technology provided a profitability of 162% and 359%, respectively.
