The influence of nitrogen oxide donors on the activity of antioxidant enzymes of cereals was studied. Moderate concentrations of sodium nitroprusside have been found to increase the activity of enzymes. The participation of endogenous H2S in the formation of heat resistance of wheat seedlings caused by the short-term effect of high temperature was studied. A transient increase in the content of H2S in the roots was shown after exposure to the temperature of 42°С. When studying the effect of exogenous carbon monoxide on the heat resistance of plant objects, it was established that the treatment of wheat seedlings with the CO donor hemin induced the development of their heat resistance. The effect of treatment of wheat plants with putrescine and spermine on the functioning of their protective systems during droughts was studied. A decrease in the inhibitory effect of drought was shown when plants were treated with these polyamines. The effect of melatonin on heat resistance of wheat seedlings was investigated. The participation of ROS and calcium as signal mediators in the implementation of stress-protective effect of melatonin was established. The state of the osmoprotective and antioxidant systems of seedlings of winter rye, triticale and wheat was compared under normal moisture and the action of the osmotic stress. A conclusion was made about the differences in adaptation strategies in cereals of different species. We studied the dynamics of the content of flavonoids under the conditions of cold hardening. A conclusion was made about the contribution of anthocyanins to the formation of frost resistance of triticale seedlings. Product Description popup.authors Havva Kateryna M.
