The subject of research – is the impact of information technology on decision support processes to respond to emergencies in the process of transportation of petroleum products and increase the degree of protection of the population and territories of Ukraine from emergencies of man-made and natural nature and minimize their consequences. The purpose of the work – is to develop requirements for the structure and methods of application of the information system for the control over the transportation of petroleum products and ensure its fire safety. The results of the work for the second year. A theoretical analysis of research in the field of informatization of road transportation of oil products and other dangerous goods was carried out. The implemented information technologies for the monitoring of road transport of oil products and other dangerous substances were investigated. It has been established that the European Union financially supports the development and implementation of intelligent transport systems to a large extent. There is an updated program of the European Parliament Connecting Europe Facility intended for investments in transport infrastructure, transport, digital and energy projects for the period 2021-2027. The main goal of information systems for satellite transport monitoring is to optimize response time in the event of an emergency. This is an opportunity to conduct analytical work on forecasting the occurrence of fire and technologically dangerous situations on the roads. Summing up, we conclude that the development of the concept of an information system to control the transportation of oil products corresponds to the general trends currently taking place in the internal policy of the EU, and most importantly, this concept can be useful during the integration processes of Ukraine's accession to EU.
