DEVELOPMENT OF METHODOLOGY AND ASSESSMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS IN CONDITIONS OF WATER SHORTAGE FOR THE SAFE USE OF THE RESOURCE POTENTIAL OF THE HYDROECOSYSTEM (PRIORITY RESEARCH SUPPORT - 1230) A methodology for assessing ecological risks arising in water bodies in case of water shortage was developed, the primary prioritization of water bodies in the Upper Pripyat and Dniester basins was carried out, and objects were selected for the implementation of compensatory measures aimed at preserving a good ecological state and biodiversity of hydroecosystems in the low-water period. A retrospective analysis was carried out, field studies were carried out within the ecoregions "Eastern Plains" and "Pontic Province"; both standard hydrobiological methods and the latest methods developed in the EU, taking into account the requirements of the WRD, are used; the results are calculated by statistical methods used to assess the ecological status-class of EU rivers in the European database. For the first time, theoretical principles were proposed and a mathematical and conceptual apparatus for the methodology of environmental risk assessment was developed; adjusted reference values of the specified descriptors were established and the probabilities of negative environmental changes were calculated for each of the model bodies of surface water. According to the results, the main provisions "Methods for assessing ecological risks arising in hydroecosystems with water shortage" were prepared, ecological risks were determined for the Upper Pripyat basin in the "hot spots" areas of Rivneazot and Lutskvodokanal. A detailed study of the effects of low water on the renaturalized section of the Yagorlyk River in the Dniester basin was conducted. Key words: ecological state, assessment, ecological risks, water shortage, resource potential, hydroecosystem. Product Description popup.authors Afanasyev Sergiy Oleksandrovich Batoh Svitlana V.
