A society with an excess of challenges is a society in which the number of challenges exceeds threshold values. The war damages social institutions and relations, practices and conditions of everyday life unevenly. An extreme situation for a certain time leads to the destruction of the existing picture of the world, but it gradually recovers as it adapts. As a result of the war, there is a widespread and accelerated reduction of the space suitable for human life, the replacement of self-sustaining ecosystems with artificial ones. In the economic sphere, there was a change in the structure of the labor market, an increase in unemployment, and a decrease in income. In the political sphere, threats and risks are associated with the deficiency of the rule of law, the spontaneity of the de-oligarchization process, and the prevalence of populist ideas. Threats and risks related to the material base of the socio-cultural environment, the issue of identities and information war in the media space became actualized in the cultural sphere.
