Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  The objects of research are nanostructured ceramics, nanopowders of dielectric materials, tungsten samples interacting with ions, hydrogen plasma similar to the wall plasma in ITER, vacuum plasma spraying systems, as well as the principles of metal hydride activation of hydrogen. The goal of the project is to find the regularities of luminescence spectra of nanostructured ceramics depending on the conditions of its sintering, the study of sputtering of metals to create new functional coatings, the study of tungsten degradation through the interaction with powerful plasma flows, the effective extraction of H– ions from a Penning discharge with a metal hydride cathode across a magnetic field. On this base new methods for formation of perspective materials with given properties and tests of existing ones will be researched and developed. The effect of influence sintering temperature of nanostructured materials on their optical properties is indicated. Intensification of magnetron discharge parameters based on a standard MAG-5 type magnetron sputtering system (MSS) with near-anode magnetic trap is demonstrated. The rate of tungsten degradation through the interaction with stationary and pulsed plasma flows close to ITER parameters is shown.
