The purpose of the work is to conduct research aimed at improving the physical and mechanical characteristics of aluminum alloys through the use of complex energy processing technology. Research methods are informational and analytical, reliability theories, probability theories, synergetics, mechanics of destruction. The regularities of the influence of high-speed loading after cooling on the characteristics of alloys of the Al-Mg system have been established. Methods to increase the impact toughness of AMg6 alloy after low-temperature treatment have been developed. High-temperature aging of the AMg6 alloy has been carried out and low-temperature treatment modes of the alloy have been selected, which qualitatively change its structural state. The results of the research can be used for theoretical and experimental research in the selection of energy processing modes, which allow to significantly increase the physical and mechanical characteristics of aluminum alloys, while not only the reliability and resource of the structure, but also to reduce its mass and metal content, which can lead to a significant economic effect, first of all, in rocket and space technology. The novelty of the work lies in the fact that experimental studies of high-speed loading of alloys of the Al-Mg system have been carried out. The obtained results can be used when choosing the direction of research on optimizing the properties of materials and, therefore, solving the important problem of increasing the strength and durability of products in various industries. The field of application is rocket and space technology, mechanical engineering, and metallurgy. The results of the work obtained at this stage will be used at the next stage in the development of technological regimes aimed at improving the physical and mechanical characteristics of materials of the Al-Mg system for the constructive protection of vehicles.
