Research methods are of a theoretical nature: analysis, synthesis, classification. The use of these methods made it possible to study the developments in the specified field, to conduct a review and analysis of the data obtained by other scientists with the aim of their further systematization and empirical nature: a) the observation method: it was used, on the one hand, for the initial collection of psychological information about the research subjects, on the other hand, for the collection of the main array of empirical data, the generalization of which, in the future, made it possible to use them in the process of building the main conclusions of the study; b) structured interview method: used to collect socio-demographic characteristics and additional information from the studied internally displaced persons; c) expert assessment method: used to obtain data on the presence of manifestations of "victim syndrome" in internally displaced persons. The group of experts included practical psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and social workers of Kharkiv; d) the psychodiagnostic method is implemented with the help of methods: the Life Satisfaction Index (LIZ) test (A. Neugarten), (adaptation by N. Panina), the method of diagnosing indicators and forms of aggression by A. Bass and A. Darka, projective technique "Hand test" developed by B. Bryklin, Z. Petrovskyi, E. Wagner, technique "Color test of relations" by A. Etkind, test "Estimation of the level of situational (reactive) anxiety" by Spielberger-Khanin, technique "Level of subjective control » E. Bazhina; methods of mathematical statistics. Student's t-test and Pearson's r-test were used to identify the level of significance in the differences between the compared indicators.
