The goal is to improve the yield and sowing qualities of hybrid corn seeds using the example of precocious maternal lines adapted to the conditions of the northern part of the Forest-Steppe and Polissia of Ukraine, and to study the possibility of recommending the introduction of fungicidal treatments into the seed production system during the castration period. Research methods. Inbreeding and recurrent selection in the creation of self-pollinated lines, hybridization and variety testing of new hybrids in order to select genotypes that meet the specified parameters. The results of the work and their novelty. Early ripening lines that exceeded the yield standards were identified, and the level of disease infection under different treatment and castration schemes was determined. The reactions of the parent components of the hybrid to treatment with fungicides were determined, and the obtained hybrid seeds were evaluated for sowing qualities and damage by the main diseases.
