Research object: selection and seed production of alfalfa and meadow clover. Results of the research. Seeds of 10 hybrid F2 populations were obtained. Vegetative mass was evaluated in competitive variety trials of perennial leguminous grasses: one number of alfalfa 01(20), which exceeded the standard by 11.25%, and four numbers of clover: 02(19), 3( 14), 6(19), 8(17) - the excess was, respectively, from 4.08% to 10.40% relative to the weighted average standards for the relevant experiments. According to the indicators of the sum of two slopes, the yield of dry mass of leaves per unit area was the best three alfalfa numbers 01(20), 03(20), 06(20), which exceeded the weighted average standard by 6.68% to 22.11%. In clover, 06(19) and 08(17) were the best, the excess was 12.06% and 14.37%, respectively. In terms of seed productivity, two alfalfa numbers 03(20), 05(20) and two meadow clover numbers: 05(19), 10(16) were the best.
