It has been shown that platelets bind specifically to protein matrices; activation of platelets by µM ADP does not affect the activation of their collagen receptors; the SPR method of concentration analyzing of platelets and erythrocytes in blood plasma was developed; immunobiochips were synthesized for the determination of antithrombin III, protein C and plasminogen in blood plasma; vWF in solution doubles the rate of binding of erythrocytes to the collagen matrix in contrast to immobilized vWF. An immunosensor chip has been synthesized for determining the ABO blood group of a person. An original methodical approach was developed to study the molecular mechanisms underlying the transformation of fibrinogen into fibrin and fibrin polymerization, based on unique fibrin(ogen)-specific monoclonal antibodies created at the Palladin Institute Biochemistry of NAS of Ukraine under the leadership of Academician S.V.
