The goal of the third stage of the RW is to develop generalized characteristics of the quantitative assessment of biological diversity to optimize the environmental impact assessment procedure. Research methods are classic biogeocenological, methodical tools for accounting and quantitative assessment of alpha-, beta- and gamma-diversity of ecosystems, verification of the existing system of ecomorphs of plants and animals, and methods for evaluating the indicative value of ecomorphs. As a result of the conducted research, the following scientific results were obtained: a list of methods for quantitative assessment of biological diversity was created; developed criteria for evaluating anthropogenic transformation of ecosystems based on quantitative indicators of biological diversity.
