The purpose of the study is to study the medical and social characteristics of syphilis, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, genital herpes, and human papillomavirus among key population groups vulnerable to HIV infection and to develop a program to prevent their spread. Research methods are epidemiological, sociological, statistical, bacteriological, molecular biological, clinical, biochemical. In the course of the study, the patterns and features of the spread of dermatovenerological pathology, clinical-epidemiological, psychosomatic, and individual pathogenetic features were clarified, including changes in some immunological indicators (IL-1, -8, TGF-β, INF-γ), the activity of enzymatic links of antioxidant protection and the presence of a virulent form of the causative agent of the atypical oval morphotype T. vaginalis. The algorithm of complex clinical and laboratory examination and treatment and preventive measures for patients with sexually transmitted infections was defined and tested, taking into account the risk factors of STD/HIV infection and the detection of markers of herpes simplex virus type 1 and type 2, human papilloma virus, surface antigen of viral hepatitis B and C and additional colonization by opportunistic pathogens (OPM), taking into account the assessment of the effect of different doses of metronidazole in vitro on the state of osmotic resistance of erythrocytes and antibiotic sensitivity of pathogens of OPM among patients from the general population and in key groups, including among prisoners.
