VI Vernadsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The report has: 119 pages, 66 illustrations, 18 tables, 196 bibliography, 29 articles, 10 theses of reports, 1 patent of Ukraine for a utility model. The purpose of the work is the development of physical and physico-chemical methods of creation and investigation of the features of functional nanosystems with the effects of plasmon resonance, optical nonlinearity, catalytic, photocatalytic, luminescent activity, etc. Research objects: nitrogen-modified graphene-like nanostructures (cones, ribbons, globules, carbon quantum dots), optical nanosystems based on ionic liquid crystals of metal alkanoates with complex semiconductor and metal nanoparticles. Research methods: IR-, UV-VIS-, XRF spectroscopy, TEM, SEM, TEM microscopy, X-ray diffraction. Results of the implementation of the NDR. Nitrogen-doped graphene-like carbon nanostructures were obtained by plasma-arc discharge in a liquid nitrogen medium, and their morphology was determined. An installation for the electroexplosive synthesis of carbon-oxide nanopowders of metals and obtaining catalytic coatings on metal tapes without the use of aggressive phases was developed and manufactured. A new method of synthesis from LC and EDA in an aqueous medium of spectrally pure nitrogen-modified VCTs has been developed. The behavior of solutions of Rh(III), Ru(III), Pd(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Fe(III) chlorides in the surface layer of VKT was studied. The formation of coordination bonds of metals with VKT has been established. Nanocomposites containing VKT and Rh deposited on Al2O3, SiO2, and ZrO2 were obtained. The catalytic activity of the composites in the reaction of conversion of CO to CO2 was revealed. Ionic LC phases of metal alkanoates were used as nanoreactors for the synthesis of core/shell bimetallic nanoparticles (Au+Ag) and complex core/shell metal-semiconductor nanoparticles (Ag/CdSe, Ag/CdS, Ag/PbSe, Ag/PbS, Ag /ZnSe, Au/CdS, Au/CdSe).
