Volume of the study: 54 children were examined, 36 of whom suffered from epilepsy (boys – 22, girls – 14), part of patients from this group – 26, together with children with spinal muscular atrophy and healthy children, made up an additional subgroup – 44 child (boys – 18, girls – 26), which was used for testing using machine learning methods. The age of the children is from 4 to 18 years. The purpose of the work: to accumulate and analyze biometric data of children with epilepsy, suitable for predicting the course of the disease. Research methods: clinical and anamnestic, informational and analytical. A biometric data collection system suitable for use in epilepsy patients has been tested. Several mathematical models for predicting the course of the disease in children with epilepsy have been created and tested. The advantages and disadvantages of the following modeling methods are studied: random forest, K-nearest neighbors, multilayer perceptron, and support vectors. Markers have been identified that, in some forms of epilepsy, indicate the approach of an epileptic attack, namely, a gradual increase in heart rate and/or the presence of arrhythmia. Such markers are an effective tool for the clinical use of biometric monitoring in children with epilepsy. The created monitoring system can be implemented both at the individual and at the system level. That is, used by a family doctor and an interested family with a sick child or at the level of a specialized epileptological center. After simple training and settings, the hardware and software complex is able to notify the doctor and the family about the increased probability of attacks and prompt correction of therapy or other preventive measures.
