Based on the finite element method, a methodology was developed for calculating unsteady temperature fields and thermal stresses observed in a hydrogen generator during thermobaric chemical processes of varying intensity. The generator was shown to have a sufficient safety margin under elastic deformations up to the yield strength of steel. The developed methodology and the results of corrosion studies helped determine the current state of the hydrogen generator and its service life. A methodological approach to using optimization design methods for the placement of rock particles during the manufacture of model cores of reservoir rocks with specified filtration and capacitance characteristics is proposed. The equipment and methods for manufacturing artificial cores were improved. During their manufacture, the amount and fractional composition of rock components were taken with account of the results of mathematical modeling. The parameters of the absolute porosity of the numerical model, the manufactured model core and the natural prototype demonstrate a satisfactory agreement. Physical modeling helped define the optimal content of a polymeric combustion activator in the process mixtures to ensure the temperature level and duration of the high-temperature hydrogen stage of the chemical engineering process required for generating hydrogen from hydroreactive substances and carrying out the process of hydrocracking of heavy hydrocarbons. A general algorithm was developed to improve the efficiency of the chemical engineering process of the (CHTBCE) technology aimed at increasing hydrocarbon production.
