Research methods: optical microscopy, electron scanning and transmission microscopy; energy dispersive, X-ray structural, dilatometric methods of analysis; tests on mechanical properties; computer simulation. The work solves the problem of improving the mechanical and operational properties of structural steels by adjusting the chemical composition and heat treatment regimes for the application of deformation martensitic transformation (TRIP effect). The influence of the chemical composition on the kinetics of phase-structural transformations, microstructure and properties of low-carbon TRIP-assisted steels was studied. It is shown that the introduction of small additions of chromium (0.5-0.6%), molybdenum (0.2%), vanadium (0.10%) and niobium (0.04-0.05%) significantly improves hardenability and complex mechanical properties of 0.2%C-Mn-Si steel. The chemical composition of TRIP-assisted steel 20С2Г2ХФМБ and 20С2Г2Б with an improved mechanical properties has been developed. Rational regimes of their heat treatment using the technologies of isothermal hardening and "Quenching-and-Partitioning" from furnace heating, as well as in a complex with preliminary deformation (ausforming) are established. The possibility of using high-carbon TRIP-assisted steel 120Г3С2 for the manufacture of welded joints with high abrasive wear resistance, which realize the TRIP effect during wear, has been established. The decisive influence of the deformation martensitic transformation on the set of properties of TRIP-assisted steels is shown, and conclusions are made regarding the optimal kinetics of the transformation.
