Expedient limits for the use of biofilms with a heterogeneous structure for the calculation of parameters for cleaning organic pollutants (OR) have been established. Recommendations for the removal of pollutants from wastewater in the absence of oxygen with high organic loads are offered. Engineering methods have been developed that allow predicting the deterioration of leachate quality, performing technological and structural analysis and, in particular, determining the rational height of loading and the time of protective action of loading. A meaningful techno-economic analysis of the effect of filters on iron removal during their management according to three algorithms (regular, irregular and combined) was carried out. The optimal technological time intervals for the first algorithm were established, which allows obtaining cheap purified water and at the same time simply automating physical and chemical iron removal on fast filters.
