Investigation of approaches to the construction of virtual power plants (VPP) was carried out and models were developed to find the optimal balancing group of market participants. A method of optimizing the modes of electric networks in terms of voltage and reactive power regulation using the reactive power of distributed renewable energy sources as part of ViES is proposed. Methods and models for forecasting daily schedules of the total electric load of the power system using methods of their hourly decomposition into components, methods and models for forecasting nodal loads in electric networks based on artificial neural networks have been developed. Software tools have been developed for setting up modern differential-phase protection of power transmission lines, which are used today in the IPS of Ukraine, and software tools for selecting the parameters of the activation of the blocking function during power fluctuations, which allows to increase the reliability of the operation of Ukraine's power systems with RES.
