This objective is achieved through development of methods and models, allowing us to obtain knowledge from different sources efficiently and thoroughly, process all this knowledge simultaneously, and use it. Developed methods and models have provided the basis for a knowledge transfer platform. The platform itself is a starting point for development of intelligent decision support software. In the process of the research, we have defined the peculiar features of subject domains, to which socio-technical systems belong, such as, first and foremost, military sphere, national security, and others. It has been shown, that these features result from weakly structured nature of the domains. Namely, these features, include uniqueness of decisions made, lack of reference points, imprecision, errors, incompleteness, ambiguity and contradiction of object description in such domains. Required models and methods of obtaining and processing of knowledge of different nature, and of their usage in decision-making support have been scientifically substantiated. A knowledge obtaining model and methods for defining and improvement of adequacy of knowledge-oriented models of weakly structured domains have been suggested. Methods of consistency definition and aggregation of knowledge coming from different sources, as well as the methodology of defining the competence of experts and knowledge engineers during subject domain model construction have been developed. Developed methods and models provided the basis for building of a problem-oriented knowledge processing platform, serving as a management tool, which allows users to generate recommendations of different sorts for decision-makers.
