Podgorny Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The purpose performed scientific research is the development of methodological approaches and constructive measures to increase the efficiency and reliability of turbo installations. Methods for calculating the processes of moisture formation in the flow parts of steam turbines have been developed. A new approach to the organization of separation-evaporative moisture extraction in their last stages has been created, which gives a gain of ~0.2%. A new scheme of the rod connection of the shelf bandage of the working blade is proposed, which, in addition to reducing the stress concentration factor, allows dismantling of the bandage during repair. The possibilities of integration into thermal circuits of steam turbines of absorption bromide-lithium heat pumps have been analyzed. Multi-mode calculations of the thermal scheme of the PT-60/70-130/13 turbine with a 24 MW pump working on heat supply with a consumption of mains water of 1500 t/h were performed and with a production load of 80 t/h. couples. With this load of the turbine and the energy prices that are forecast, this pump can pay for itself in ~2.5 years. The operating modes of the T-100/120-130 turbine were studied, the rational load of the mains water heaters was determined, which, when operating at the nominal mode of the installation with two heaters, gives a gain in electric power of up to ~2.5 MW. A methodology for the synthesis of thermal schemes of low-power power plants on low-boiling working bodies has been created and software for determining their characteristics has been developed. Computational studies of two and three cascade installations for waste heat utilization of flue gases of water heating boilers have been performed. For the gas transportation system it is proposed to install a utilization turboexpander unit instead of a control valve, which will lead to savings of ~150,000 m3 of natural gas per year for one gas pumping unit with a capacity of 10 MW while reducing harmful emissions.
