Based on the results of the scientific research, methodological recommendations were developed for the first time, aimed at increasing the efficiency of the operation of the EUMS in the context of improving the professional training of specialists in navigation and management of sea vessels; the concept was substantiated and a system and technology for forming the readiness of future shipmasters for professional activity in the system of continuous professional training was developed. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the development of methodological recommendations for the use of the NTPo5000 navigation simulator for cultivation in cadets the appropriate skills regarding the actions of the shipmaster as part of the ESUMS in various navigation situations; changes were introduced in the existing programs of educational disciplines of the educational program "Navigation and management of sea vessels"; trainings introduced into the educational process regarding the psychological readiness of the future shipmaster to act as part of the ESUMS in various navigational situations; developed an end-to-end practical training program for cadets (students); methodical recommendations were prepared for scientific and pedagogical workers regarding the improvement of the quality of formation of the readiness of future river and sea transport specialists for professional activities in various navigational situations.
