Aim of the study: to improve a level of forest management informational support as well as to enhance planning and implementation of adaptive forest management. Methodology of the study: systematic forestry and ecological approach, international methods of selective statistical inventory and monitoring of forests, guidelines for the inventory of Ukrainian forests, mathematical modeling methods, GIS. The technology of forest monitoring in Ukraine has been improved following the methods of UN-ECE ICP Forests international monitoring programs and forest inventory. Data quality control was carried out and national inventory indicators were calculated on the example of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Long-term data from observations at Level I and Level II forest monitoring sites in Ukraine were analysed. Methods of data analysis and interpretation have been improved. A synphytoindication assessment of the ecological regimes of the ecotopes was carried out for the forest ecosystems of Polissia and the southern part of the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe. Predictive estimates were made for the condition and productivity changes in Ukrainian forests under various scenarios of climate change.
