Aim of the study: development and substantiation of the methodology for implementing a set of activities aimed at intensifying the hunting sector in Ukraine to increase the number of ungulate species to an optimal level Methodology of the study: field, theoretical and empirical methods using the analysis and compilation of practical experience, records, and statistical and legal documents. The peculiarities of the food supply, diets and reserves of thebasic feed for wild ingulates in the Steppe natural zone were established. The factors that can influence the diet structure during the year and food reserves were determined for Steppe. Sample plots were laid out and fodder trees for ruminants were sampled.
