For the first time, a method of determining changes in the surface volume of island glaciers of the Antarctic coast was developed based on the results of the complex application of terrestrial laser scanning and digital stereophotogrammetric surveying. The accuracy of determining changes in surface volumes according to the proposed method is 1%, which meets glaciological requirements. The scanning and DEM construction parameters are calculated according to the required accuracy. New methods of determining the focal length for digital non-metric cameras have been developed, which will allow to increase the accuracy of determining the coordinates of object points without using nomenclature equipment. The algorithm for detecting "dead" zones of ground laser scanning with the aim of supplementing them with ground digital survey data has been improved. The optimization of grid interval selection is proposed for creation of digital models of glacier surfaces. The range of grid interval from 1.2 to 1.7 m. For the first time, the influence of geological structures on channel processes of the Dniester River and its left-bank and right-bank tributaries was investigated, and their significant dependence on the main geological structures, namely the Transcarpathian depression and the Volyn-Podilsky plate, was revealed.
