Improvement of tribotechnical properties of the engine, viscosity-temperature and low-temperature properties of motor oil, base bases and additives from which these motor oils are made, and establishment of the optimal concentration of the introduction of the corresponding additives to the base bases. Research on improving the technical readiness and starting qualities of vehicles in conditions of low temperatures, by comprehensive utilization of part of the thermal energy of the exhaust gases of internal combustion engines with the help of a thermal accumulator and a thermoelectric generator to compensate for the thermal losses of the battery during idle time by the method of thermostating using external heating elements.
