The purpose of the applied work is to develop a new concept of ensuring energy efficient and environmentally friendly components of sustainable development, environmental safety and energy autonomy of rural communities and rural development. Based on the results of the applied work, the following main results were achieved - an effective system of sown area structure with a certain saturation with bioenergy crops was formed by optimizing sown areas; - the organization of waste processing into biogas and solid biofuels at the community level was improved; - recommendations for the efficient use of alternative fuel resources in the operation of energy facilities were developed; - the design of energy-efficient equipment for biofuel production was improved; - a mathematical model of the functioning of hybrid power systems for rural areas with flexible generation of electricity by combined solar power plants was developed and substantiated; - the feasibility study of mechanisms for the use of by-products for energy needs was improved by developing a mechanism for the management and use of waste and by-products at two levels: national and rural; - a scheme for the development of energy cooperation in rural areas was developed; - the Concept of the Strategy for Ensuring Energy Efficient and Environmentally Safe Components of Sustainable Rural Development was developed; - an information resource (website) with recommendations for energy efficient and environmentally friendly development of rural areas was developed.
