The purpose of the work is to prepare a methodical and technical basis for determining the parameters of pneumatic braking systems of agricultural trailers. During the research work in 2020, analytical studies of the requirements and methods of determining the parameters of pneumatic braking systems provided for by the EU Commission Regulation 68/2015 were carried out. Schemes of the mechanical part and control unit of the braking simulator have been developed. A trial sample of the braking simulator was made, its settings and calibration were carried out. In 2021, an operating manual was developed for determining the parameters of pneumatic braking systems, and its approval was carried out during tests of the pneumatic braking systems of the PBN-20-2 transfer hopper-accumulator and the TZP-39 tractor-sliding trailer produced by Zavod Kobzarenko LLC. The first edition of the UkrNDIPVT Standard named after L. Pogorily "Agricultural machinery. Pneumatic braking systems of agricultural trailers. Test methods." (hereinafter - SOU). In 2022, the first version of the SOU was sent out, sent to 6 organizations for feedback, a collection of reviews was compiled, and the final version of the SOU was developed taking into account the comments made in the reviews.
