Registration Date 11-02-2023 Organization The Gas Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 As part of the implementation of the scientific thame, the following was carried out:an analytical review of available hydrocarbon conversion technologies, thermodynamic studies of the possibilities of this process, research of some kinetic features of the conversion process and features of technologies for the use of the obtained reactant gases, in particular for the production of multi-walled carbon nanotubes and high-quality metal powders. For the implementation of the planned research, a number of auxiliary measures were implemented for the design, manufacture and commissioning of laboratory equipment. Thus, a new pilot-scale catalytic natural gas conversion reactor was manufactured, a thermogravimetric installation with increased sample weight was modernized, and a horizontal three-zone furnace was manufactured for growing carbon nanotubes in natural gas conversion products. The process of forming carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by the CVD (chemical vapor deposition) method on various catalysts under different hydrodynamic and temperature regimes was investigated on the created equipment. A new plate-type catalyst was developed and successfully tested. The effectiveness of its use is confirmed by the quality and volume of the obtained carbon material. The method of obtaining carbon nanotubes included several conceptually new ideas, namely: the basic technology was a process at moderate temperatures (in the range of the kinetic-thermodynamic maximum of the Bell-Boudouard reaction) using as a reaction gas the products of the conversion of hydrocarbons with strictly controlled hydrogen , carbon and oxygen potentials. The conversion took place in well-known and practice-proven catalytic conversion converters on soot-resistant KSN catalysts. The conversion products consisted of a mixture of СО, Н2, СН4 and a small amount of Н2О and СО2.The research results showed that the best results were obtained in the case when the composition of the converted gas corresponded to the coef  Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2023-02-11 Close
