The purpose of the study is to develop a system of diagnostics and assessment of reliability and durability and protection against corrosion of metal structures of agricultural machinery. Work methods - analysis, synthesis, formalization, graphic, modeling. The generalized scientific result of the stage is the formation of methods for assessing the reliability and durability and corrosion resistance of metal structures of machines and means of agricultural production, and analytical modeling and experimental studies of the influence of operational loads and corrosive aggressive environments on the fatigue failure of metal materials of the supporting systems of agricultural machinery. In accordance with the technical task, an analysis of existing research methods and problems of reliability and durability of metal structures of machines and means of agricultural production was carried out. The assessment of the corrosion activity of environments, as well as the corrosion resistance of alloyed and structural steels of metal structures of machines and means of agricultural production, was carried out. A study of the cyclic crack resistance of the materials of load-bearing metal structures of the specified technology was carried out, diagrams of the growth rate of fatigue cracks in the materials of the metal structures of machines and means of agricultural production for alloyed and structural steels under the action of operational loads and environments were constructed.
