The literary portrait of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen as an ideological and aesthetic group, based on generational factors, in the process of its life-creation during the 1914-1939 is presented. Its full reconstruction was facilitated by focusing on the peculiarities of self-organization, functioning, connections with the military environment, and the military, «rifleman» idea of the generation. The literary phenomenon of the military phalanx is revealed, taking into account its boundary nature - between politics and aesthetics and the liberation tasks faced by the Sich Riflemen. The interpretation of the image of the riflemen world was carried out on the basis of little-known and unknown material of riflemen publications and editions in terms of problems, poetics, especially intertextuality, genology, and ideological and aesthetic cooperation with other generational links - predecessors and contemporaries, the «old» and «new» in the aesthetic visions of the USR as a literary generation were determined. The traditions and innovations in the field of Shevchenko studies are outlined in the example of its newly discovered segment of riflemen Shevchenko studies, with attention to the problematics of the branch subgroup and methodology, the establishment of ideologically aesthetic and analytically interpretive features of the scientific approach to the work of T. Shevchenko by Luka Lutsiv. The new result is the application of a generative approach synthesized with interdisciplinary practices.
