The subject of the research - the theoretical and methodological provisions for the formation of strategic priorities for the development of the woodworking industry in Ukraine. The aim of the study is to develop theoretical and methodological support for the substantiation of priority directions for the development of the woodworking industry in Ukraine. Research methods: theoretical generalization; bibliometric and trend analysis; systemic, logical, graphical analysis; synthesis; induction; deduction; grouping; comparison; taxonomic and cluster analysis. The theoretical foundations for identifying the main substantive determinants of the development of the woodworking industry and countries of the world have been improved on the basis of the use of bibliometric and trend analysis tools. Methodical approaches to the integral assessment of raw material potential, progressiveness of the structure and competitiveness of the woodworking industry of Ukraine and the countries of the world received further development. The clustering and positioning of Ukraine and the countries of the world using the matrix approach by the level of development of types of economic activity of the woodworking industry was carried out. Modeling of the influence of the raw material potential on the competitiveness and progressiveness of the structure of the woodworking industry of the countries of the world was carried out.
