Expanding the types of purposeful use of land plots for different types of economic use of land, which according to their purpose have different income from their activities, will enable local self-government bodies to tax them differently, while creating equal conditions for doing business, filling local budgets from land tax. The expediency of a partial supplement in determining the target purpose classes of the land plot of informal support is substantiated, which includes the appropriate scientific justification (author's approaches) and the currently non-active regulatory and legal acts, in particular, the Ukrainian classifier of target land use. In connection with the large-scale coverage of the territory of Ukraine by hostilities, a significant part of land plots became temporarily unsuitable for their main purpose. It has been proven that it is expedient to separate such land plots in the classification with a separate purpose. For this purpose, it is proposed to additionally highlight "technologically polluted lands as a result of hostilities" within the framework of the above-mentioned classifier. Methodological recommendations have been developed to improve scientific approaches to the classification of purpose and types of use of land plots, in which the structure of each of the categories of land according to the main purpose of land plots, the class of purpose of land plot and the type of purpose of land plot is considered in detail.
