The goal of the NDR is to gain new knowledge about the defining trends, cause-and-effect relationships, regularities, peculiarities of the ethno-cultural development of Ukrainian society, which is taking place in the conditions of the policy of revenge of the Russian Federation, to develop a set of measures for state authorities and other political subjects of Ukraine, aimed at overcoming the Russification inherited from the USSR and the negative consequences of modern Russian revanchism in the ethno-cultural sphere of Ukrainian society. Scientific knowledge of modern history, the latest trends in the development of society is always relevant, especially in the conditions of the policy of revenge of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the undeclared Russian-Ukrainian hybrid war. Especially when Ukrainian society faces the threat of enslavement, its territorial integrity is violated, a large part of the economy is destroyed, when the aggressor demands to change the state system, to change the Constitution, not to care about the Ukrainian language, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, to give up one's own national and ethnic self-awareness and self-name ( because according to Kremlin ideologues, "Russians" and Ukrainians are one people) etc. Because the destruction of the ethno-cultural community of Ukrainians in certain regions and the weak integration of ethnic Russians and Russified people into the Ukrainian nation have already become fertile ground for the loss of those regions.
