Based on the results of the scientific research, for the first time methodical recommendations were developed for the implementation of educational and methodological support for the development of professional competence of education seekers (educational and practical manual, training workshop, methodological manual, methodological recommendations). The methodological basis is determined, which is a set of scientific approaches, ethical principles of interpersonal interaction; understanding the value aspects of social-communicative interaction, the importance of respect and tact to the interlocutor during communications; focus on contact and partnership, improving the microclimate in the team; personal communicative professional qualities (empathy, optimism, humanity, willingness to help, tolerance, reflection, etc.). The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the development of methodological recommendations by scientific and pedagogical workers to improve the quality of formation of the readiness of future river and sea transport specialists for professional activity in various navigation situations, which are implemented in seminar and practical works of the educational component of the professional direction of educational programs; in providing informational support to specialists of the maritime complex on psychological and pedagogical and socio-linguistic issues; developed and implemented in the educational process of intensive English language training for practical training of higher education applicants.
