The purpose of the work is to increase the validity of state decisions regarding the formation of military policy and strategic planning of the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to clarify military-political risks, challenges and threats to the national interests of Ukraine. Research methods: system analysis, methods of the theory of fuzzy measures and integrals, computer modeling. The scientific novelty consists in: elucidating the parameters of the power and potential aggressiveness of the military-political forces of the region in accordance with the changes that occurred during 2021; clarification of the parameters of the issues of regional military-political relations in accordance with the data of open sources of information; calculation of indicators for the assessment of the regional military-political situation based on data for the end of 2021, determination of the classification of the actions of regional military-political formations according to the signs of military-political risks, challenges and the threat of the use of military force; determination of new scenario lines and trends in the development of the regional military-political situation and calculation of forecast indicators of its development in 2022; formation, justification and calculation of the scenario of the possible development of the military-political situation in 2022. Main scientific and practical results: conclusions from the analysis of the content of military-political relations of Ukraine with other military-political forces of the region. in 2021; quantitative and qualitative assessments of the military-political situation in the region at the end of 2021 and forecasts of its development for 2022; military-political risks, challenges and threats of the use of military force against Ukraine in 2021.
