The purpose of the work is to improve the results of catheter treatment of atrial fibrillation, in order to improve the quality and length of life of patients. The research methods are electrophysiological and electroanatomical mapping of the atria of the heart and radiofrequency destruction of certain areas of the heart, followed by the determination of fibrosis zones and the impact on the course of heart fibrillation. A scientifically based combined technique for eliminating atrial fibrillation was developed and allowed to safely and effectively eliminate all types of this arrhythmia. Elimination of atrial fibrillation occurs in 67-78% of cases and lasts for 6-12 months. The number of complications is also reduced to 1%. Based on the research results, the algorithm and technology of radiofrequency ablation in patients with various forms of atrial fibrillation are proposed. The introduction of these techniques will allow clinics that use the method of radiofrequency destruction in the treatment of atrial fibrillation to increase the effectiveness of surgical intervention, both immediately during the intervention and in the remote period.
