A new advanced technology for the extraction of high-quality thermal coal with the accumulation of mine rocks in the mined-out space has been developed, which consists in combining the processes of sinking operations to prepare the reserves of new excavation pillars with adjacent cleaning operations in paired longwalls through an innovative rock transport and rock and backfill chain. The mechanism of efficient logistical functioning of rock transport systems for the accumulation of waste rock in the underground space while maintaining the level of mining intensification is revealed. The annual total expected ecological and economic effect per one working face will amount to UAH 266.0 million, and the mine-wide effect will be about UAH 1.0 billion.
