The purpose of the work is the optimization of transportation, which involves improving the quality of the process of delivery of perishable products and reducing costs for their delivery due to the use of an information system for modeling transportation. Research methods. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is the conceptual provisions of economic theory, management, economic-mathematical modeling, logistics theory, as well as scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists on the topic of the study. To achieve the defined goal, general scientific and special methods are applied: comparative analysis, synthesis and generalization - to reveal the essence of the category of supply chain management, supply chain; the method of the system and process approach - for substantiating modern tools for ensuring the efficiency of transportation optimization and systematization of existing logistics service concepts; methods of economic and statistical analysis - for grouping, comparison, evaluation and interpretation of the current state of the processes of transportation of perishable products and structuring of observation data, performance indicators of transport enterprises; methods of logical-dialectical analysis - to reveal the provisions of supply management and determine the relationships between the main subjects of the process; methods of economic and mathematical modeling - for the development of a criterion for evaluating the economic efficiency of transport optimization; graphic method - for a visual presentation of theoretical and practical provisions of the study; abstract-logical method - for generalization, formulation of conclusions and recommendations. The theoretical provisions were justified and practical recommendations were developed for the optimization of transportation of perishable products.
